Creativity is the fragrance of individual freedom, genderless and timeless for ages 25-32. It was very important that the packaging evoked these ideals and more without looking and/or feeling like just another all natural, environmental, or spiritual fragrance.
We started the process analyzing the brief and researching Ralph Lauren’s family of fragrances. We then developed audit and material charts to help develop our design and thought process. The next steps involved designing the carton and choosing a bottle appropriate to the fragrance. We presented two different design concepts to the client as flats as consideration for counter animation. The final design was presented as a 3D digital comp. The carton was also presented in a true-to-scale physical prototype.
